My name is Jeremy Goldstein, and I am a public policy student at the University of Maryland in their School of Public Policy as well as a member of the College Park Scholars' Media, Self, and Society program. I'm from Owings Mills, MD, and I dreamed of going to UMD ever since I was little. Not only did my mother go to UMD, but both of my older brothers have now graduated from Maryland as well. Although my interests and my major have changed since I first stepped foot on campus freshman year, my passion for the University of Maryland has remained strong and consistent. As a UMD student and College Park Scholar, I hope to build on my dreams developed as a child and become a transformed version of myself, one that is a skillful leader ready to contribute to the world around him. This "transformed" version of myself can take on many forms, among which is being a more intelligent consumer of media through my time in the Media, Self, and Society program. In addition, I hope to be a more informed citizen and someone able to contribute to the greater good of the country through my work in policy.
